ESPN Have the NBA Conference Finals Live This Week
The #1 seed Miami Heat will face the #2 Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals for a chance to advance to the NBA Finals, while the #3 Golden State Warriors will face the #4 ranked Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
The first game of the seven-game series between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics will air live on ESPN on Wednesday, May 18 at 10.30 a.m. AEST.
The Eastern Conference Finals will be a blockbuster series, with the #1 and #2 seeds facing off in a possible seven-game series.
Following the regular season, Miami and Boston were the two best teams in the East, and the basketball gods have delivered a tantalising showdown to determine the conference champions.
The Heat defeated the tenacious Philadelphia 76ers in six games, led once again by star player Jimmy Butler.
Meanwhile the Celtics had to go the full seven games to eliminate the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks.
The Western Conference Finals will see the #3 seed Golden State Warriors meet the #4 seed Dallas Mavericks.
Game One of the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Maverick’s series will begin at 11am AEST on Thursday May 19, live on ESPN.
Unlike their counterparts in the East, the Western Conference Finals will be without the two sides who finished atop the standings at the end of the regular season.
#3 seed Golden State needed just six games to see off the #2 seed Memphis Grizzlies, leading many to believe that the Warriors are on the cusp of another championship era.
But those same dreams of yesteryear are strong in Dallas also, as the Mavericks sent the strongest signal to the NBA, thrashing the #1 seed and defending Western Conference champions Phoenix Suns in game seven of their series.
The Mavs pummeled Phoenix 123 to 90 to claim game seven, and will be full of confidence against the star studded Warriors lineup containing Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
ESPN will have every game of the Conference Finals and NBA Finals Live.
