ITV1 is set to air a gripping new true crime series exploring a case packed with secrets, betrayal, and shocking twists: “The Essex Millionaire Murders.” Starting this Monday, the series looks into the events surrounding the deaths of Carol and Stephen Baxter, a wealthy couple discovered in their Essex home on Mersea Island on Easter Sunday last year.
What first seemed like a tragic accident took a much darker turn when toxicology reports showed the Baxters had been poisoned with Fentanyl. That discovery, along with a mysterious will and no signs of a struggle at the scene, led police to suspect murder and focus their investigation on those closest to the couple.
