Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein Sign On for New HGTV Series
In spring of 2024, HGTV will premiere a new series starring Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein, the stars of the popular series Cheap Old Houses and the creators of the addictive social media phenomenon by the same name, which boasts more than 2.4 million followers and counts A-list celebrities among its fans.
What do we know about the new series
The eight episodes will follow Ethan and Elizabeth as they help first-time homebuyers in New England navigate the ups and downs of making an investment in a home.
As a result of Elizabeth’s experience as a preservationist, Ethan’s resourcefulness with DIY budgeting, and their mutual enthusiasm for rescuing old property gems, they will show the prospective buyers around two homes that are rich in historical significance and architectural uniqueness but are priced at less than $199,000. Then, with the help of interior designer Jennifer Salvemini and architect Scott Reed, Ethan and Elizabeth will work side by side with the new owners to transform the rundown properties into charming vintage-style masterpieces.
Help choose a title
Starting today, HGTV is encouraging its dedicated fan base to participate in the naming of Ethan and Elizabeth’s new series by interacting with @cheapoldhouses on Instagram. Who Wants to Buy a Cheap Old House?, Desperately Seeking a Cheap Old House, and Who’s Afraid of a Cheap Old House? are three possible titles from which fans can pick their favorite. On Wednesday, June 14, Ethan and Elizabeth will announce the winning title on their widely followed Instagram account.
Who is making the series
The series is produced by Critical Content in association with Roberts Media.
