The “Europe’s Strongest Man” competition returns to the Leeds First Direct Arena, where twelve athletes from eleven nations will wrestle with enormous weights, pull trucks, and generally do things that would put the rest of us in traction.
This year’s competition has a particular edge, as defending champion Pavlo Kordiyaka faces off against Oleksii Novikov, the very man he dethroned last year. The stakes are high, with the victor earning a coveted spot in the World’s Strongest Man competition. Expect intense rivalries, impressive displays of athleticism, and possibly a few torn ligaments along the way.
Guiding viewers through the herculean happenings are presenters James Richardson and Radzi, with commentary provided by the ever-enthusiastic Danny Wallace and Colin Bryce. So, if you prefer your Christmas entertainment with a side of impressive feats of strength rather than sugar plums, tune in to Channel 5 on Sunday, December 22nd.
