Everybody Still Hates Chris: Comedy Central Announces Premiere Date for Adult Animated Series

Comedy Central has announced that the adult animated series Everybody Still Hates Chris will debut on Wednesday, 25 September, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This reimagined series features Chris Rock as the voice of “Adult Chris,” narrating stories inspired by his childhood in a large family in Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy during the late 1980s.

Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold join Rock in the voice cast as “Julius” and “Rochelle,” respectively, portraying Chris’ frugal father and hot-headed yet nurturing mother. The series also includes Tim Johnson Jr. as “Young Chris,” Ozioma Akagha as his mischievous sister “Tonya,” Terrence Little Gardenhigh as “Drew,” and Gunnar Sizemore as “Greg.”

Everybody Still Hates Chris is a production of CBS Studios and Chris Rock Enterprises, in association with 3 Arts Entertainment. It builds upon the original live-action series Everybody Hates Chris, which aired from 2005 to 2009, receiving a NAACP Image Award and nominations for Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.

The animated series is executive produced by Rock, Sanjay Shah, Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg, and Dave Becky. Titmouse, known for their work on Big Mouth, provides the animation, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers.
