Josh Gates, the ever-inquisitive explorer of the unexplained, returns with a new season of “Expedition Files.” This time, he’s tackling some of history’s most debated conspiracy theories, starting with a fresh look at the Titanic disaster. Did an iceberg alone send the “unsinkable” ship to the bottom of the Atlantic? Gates isn’t so sure. He sets off to examine the enduring speculation suggesting foul play or some other explanation.
But the Titanic is just the tip of the iceberg (pun reluctantly intended). Gates also turns his attention to the mysterious death of famed magician Harry Houdini. Was it a trick gone wrong, or something more deliberate? And then there’s the case of the missing Civil War gold, a treasure hunt that sparked a legal battle involving the FBI. Gates digs into the facts, searching for answers where history books fall short.
“Expedition Files” has always had a knack for blending adventure, mystery, and historical investigation, and this new season looks like more of the same. If you’re a fan of unraveling mysteries or just enjoy a good historical deep dive, tune in to Discovery on Wednesday, April 16th at 9:00 PM ET/PT for the premiere of “Expedition Files: Conspiracy Theories.”
