Expedition Files, Discovery Channel’s top-rated new series of 2024, is back with global adventurer Josh Gates exploring history’s greatest mysteries. The new season starts Wednesday, April 16 at 9 PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
Here’s the Lowdown: Each episode sees Gates investigating perplexing true stories, presenting new evidence and insights. The premiere, airing near the anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking, questions whether an iceberg was the sole cause of the disaster. Other premiere mysteries include the true story of Houdini’s death, and a case involving lost Civil War gold.

The Bigger Picture: Later in the season, Gates will examine the possible true identity of hijacker D.B.
