However, upon returning home, she and her teammates faced a disheartening ban from the Football Association. Undeterred, Gill continued to champion women’s football, becoming a founding member of Arsenal Women.
Now, her inspiring journey is being immortalized through the brushstrokes of David James, whose previous artwork has graced charity auctions.
