A&E, the network that brought you the refined pleasures of “Hoarders” and the educational insights of “Intervention,” now presents “Extreme Road Ragers.” This new reality series, premiering Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10:01 p.m. ET/PT, examines the surprisingly common affliction of road rage, focusing on individuals whose anger behind the wheel has escalated from everyday annoyance to life-altering problem.
The first episode, “Chantel & Lisa,” introduces two women whose struggles with road rage are impacting their lives in distinct ways. Chantel, a bartender and masseuse, worries her explosive temper could escalate into actual violence. Lisa’s rage, meanwhile, is hitting her where it hurts—her wallet—thanks to a mountain of traffic tickets and fines.
A&E’s apparent goal is to examine the root causes of these drivers’ anger, while also documenting their attempts to change with the help of therapists and other specialists. Whether these efforts will lead to genuine transformation or simply provide more fodder for dramatic confrontations is, of course, the question that fuels the reality TV engine. Expect plenty of tense therapy sessions, awkward family interventions, and, naturally, some white-knuckle driving footage.
Tune in to A&E on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10:01 p.m. ET/PT to see whether these road ragers can change their ways, or if they’re destined for a never-ending traffic jam of anger.
