Channel 5’s Faking It wraps up its first season with a makeover challenge that’s less about transformation, more about sheer nerve. Airing Tuesday at 10 PM, the finale follows Craig, a painter and decorator from rural Scotland, as he attempts to swap brushes for blusher and infiltrate the high-stakes world of fashion makeup artistry—in just one month.
Trading the quiet of the Scottish Highlands for the hustle of London (his first trip back since childhood), Craig must master a new set of skills under the watchful eye of makeup artist mentors Dominic Skinner and Howard Kong. The episode charts his clumsy first steps with cosmetics—treating faces like walls, much to his mentors’ chagrin—and his crash course in backstage etiquette, courtesy of an acting coach.
A top-to-toe makeover—handlebar moustache included—aims to help Craig blend in with the pros, but the real test comes when he’s pitted against three actual makeup artists in a high-fashion photoshoot. Can he fool the judges and pull off the ultimate illusion, or will his lack of experience leave him exposed? Find out Tuesday.
Faking It airs Tuesday, June 3rd at 10:00 PM on Channel 5.
