It’s a “Family Guy” holiday special. Will it be as heartwarming as a Charlie Brown Christmas? Doubtful. As insightful as a Festivus airing of grievances? Maybe, depending on how many Quahog residents Peter manages to offend this time. But let’s face it, we’re tuning in for the signature blend of irreverent humor and pop culture references, not a Hallmark moment.
“Gift of the White Guy,” arriving exclusively on Hulu on Monday, November 25, finds Peter embroiled in his usual brand of holiday mayhem. This time, he’s managed to give away Lois’ cherished Christmas brooch during a White Elephant gift exchange. One can only imagine the lengths to which he’ll go to retrieve it, and the collateral damage along the way. Will it involve a misguided scheme fueled by Pawtucket Patriot Ale? A musical number featuring a surprisingly catchy yet offensive jingle?
Meanwhile, Stewie, the pint-sized mastermind of mischief, gets a dose of holiday reality when he finds himself on Santa’s “Naughty List.” Will this lead to a genuine change of heart, or simply a more cunning approach to his wicked ways? Knowing Stewie, it’s a toss-up.
The usual suspects are back too, vocally at least: Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Arif Zahir.
“Gift of the White Guy” premieres on Hulu Monday, November 25, at 12:01 AM EST.
