“Family Guy,” a show where shock humor and non sequiturs reign supreme. This Sunday’s episode, “One Foot in Front of the Mother,” looks to be another classic dose of Griffin family absurdity, with Brian the dog taking center stage (or dog house, as it were). After one too many noise complaints from the neighbors, Brian is slapped with a truly barbaric contraption in the form of a shock collar to curb his excessive barking. Arif Zahir joins the cast.
Meanwhile, Chris, the Griffin’s perpetually awkward teenage son, discovers an unexpected talent for speed walking. He seeks to join an after-school team, which, given the Griffin family track record for extracurricular activities, is sure to lead to, well, let’s just say “unconventional” results.
With Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Patrick Warburton leading the voice cast, expect the usual barrage of cutaway gags, pop culture references, and the kind of humor that simultaneously makes you cringe and laugh out loud.
