Family Guy is pulling out its satirical oars for a trip into current events this week. On Thursday, July 3, at 9:00 PM ET on FOX, the animated comedy presents “Row v. Wade,” an episode that sees Brian Griffin take to the high seas to support women’s access to abortion.
The premise begins innocently enough: Brian wins a boat on The Price is Right. But what starts as a game show prize quickly morphs into a political statement as Brian decides to sail to Texas to advocate for reproductive rights. This setup allows the show to tackle a polarizing issue with its typical blend of irreverent humor and social commentary.
Kyle Chandler makes a guest voice appearance as “Coach Taylor.” The regular voice cast, including Seth MacFarlane and Alex Borstein, are back, bringing their familiar performances to the Griffin family and their friends.
It is clear that “Row v. Wade” will use its platform to offer strong opinions, continuing the show’s track record of pushing comedic boundaries in its discussions of topical subjects.
