Family Movie Events, a new entertainment distribution company focusing on family-centric content, has announced the nationwide release of its first title, “A Carpenter’s Prayer.” The film will premiere Friday, August 9.
The film stars Stephen Baldwin, Bethany Anne Lind, and Reno Reyes and tells the true story of a pastor, his family, and an afflicted carpenter in 1970s rural Michigan.
Family Movie Events has partnered with Integrity Releasing, a distribution company with strong ties to the faith community, for its debut title. The film was written and directed by Matt Webb, who also produced alongside Lance Clark.
“A Carpenter’s Prayer” is based on true events and centres around a pastor and his family as they embark on building a new church in rural Michigan during the 1970s. They face challenges and tragedies that threaten their mission, but an unlikely source of hope appears in the form of a carpenter struggling with his own afflictions. The carpenter’s faith in God becomes a source of strength and redemption for the entire community, proving that unwavering belief can lead to unexpected paths of healing and restoration.
“A Carpenter’s Prayer” marks the first of five films from Family Movie Events that celebrate family values and inspire hope. The company aims to bring movies that foster family values and focus on honour, integrity, and respect to the big screen.
Producer Lance Clark says “I am very excited that Forester Film’s debut feature, “A Carpenter’s Prayer,” a true story about my childhood, is coming to theaters this summer.”
A Carpenter’s Prayer premieres in cinemas nationwide on August 9.
