The Famous Five – Julian, Dick, Anne, George, and Timmy the dog – are back for a thrilling new adventure this holiday season. In “Mystery at the Prospect Hotel,” the intrepid young sleuths find themselves amidst a chilling prediction at a glamorous seaside establishment. The episode premieres on CBBC on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 5:25 pm and will be repeated on BBC One on New Year’s Eve, December 31 at 10:20 am.
Reunited during the summer of 1940, the Five find their holiday at the Prospect Hotel takes an unexpected turn when they encounter an old acquaintance, Thomas Wentworth. Wentworth claims to possess a disturbing vision of the future: the murder of celebrated jazz singer, Cab Vee, a guest at the hotel. Convinced of the impending crime, he implores the Five to use their detective skills to prevent the tragedy.
With a host of intriguing characters gathered under one roof, the Five must unravel a web of secrets and hidden motives. Each guest presents a potential suspect, and time is running out to uncover the truth before Wentworth’s prediction comes to pass.
