TV One’s “Fatal Attraction” returns this Monday with a case that goes beyond the usual romantic entanglements, turning its lens on the deadly consequences of family secrets and betrayal. In “Familial Lies,” the murder of a security guard in her own apartment initially looks like a random home invasion, but as detectives dig deeper, they uncover a much more complicated story.
The investigation soon uncovers a web of jealousy and greed, leading police to an unexpected suspect, one whose motives stem from a twisted sense of familial obligation. Hosted by Malikha Mallette, “Fatal Attraction” uses its signature blend of first-person interviews, interrogation footage, and archival material to reconstruct the events leading up to the crime. The episode examines how quickly a seemingly ordinary family can be consumed by dark impulses.
