Lady Felicia’s literary aspirations take a deadly turn in the upcoming episode of Father Brown, “The Sisters of Aeschylus.” When a group of writers comes to stay, a murder throws everything into chaos.
Here’s the Lowdown: Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll) invites a trio of authors – “The Sisters of Aeschylus” – to Montague, hoping they’ll help her get published. The sisters are: Eva Velasquez (Pepa Duartes), Frances Whitfield (Issy Van Randwyck), and Maxine Mortimer (Kaisa Hammarlund). However, things go wrong when publisher Sherman Quinn (John Hopkins) and his assistant Laurel Rush (Justina Kehinde) arrive early, and a murder occurs in the library. Father Brown (Mark Williams), Mrs. Devine (Claudie Blakley), and Brenda (Ruby-May Martinwood) must solve the crime.
What This Means Now: This is the eighth episode of the twelfth series. Someone is seemingly poisoned by cyanide, and Father Brown has to work out who the killer is, amongst a house full of potential suspects.
The Bigger Picture: The long-running series continues its tradition of combining cozy mysteries with the charming setting of the Cotswolds. The addition of a group of writers as central characters adds an interesting twist and opportunities for literary-themed intrigue.
