The team welcomes its newest member, Special Agent Eva Ramos, who is thrown directly into the fire on her first day. A young man is found murdered on federal land, but what initially seems like a straightforward homicide case quickly becomes complicated when the investigation collides with an undercover DEA operation.
Scola and Ramos must find a way to work with their DEA counterparts without compromising either agency’s case, a task that proves to be a bureaucratic and dangerous tightrope walk. As they dig deeper, it becomes clear that their victim was involved in something far more complex than anyone suspected.
Back at the office, a potential internal shake-up at the JOC creates a current of uncertainty among the team, suggesting that the threats they face are not always on the streets.
