The Fly Team is heading to Istanbul this week in pursuit of an American couple who fled Baltimore after a brutal murder. “Blood Doesn’t Become Water” also introduces a new character, Special Agent Riley Quinn (played by Veronica St. Clair), who’s partnered with Vo. But there’s a twist: Quinn is also secretly investigating a member of the Fly Team. A mole hunt within a manhunt? Intriguing.
Now, I’m always wary of these “internal investigation” storylines. They often feel contrived and tend to disrupt the team dynamics in a way that’s rarely satisfying. Will Quinn’s investigation create unnecessary tension and distrust within the Fly Team? Or will it be handled with nuance and subtlety?
And what about the fleeing couple? Are they guilty, or are they being framed?
