The Fly Team’s passports are getting a workout in “Keen As A Bean,” as they chase one of America’s Most Wanted across international borders and into the heart of a Russian operation. This time, the team’s jurisdiction-hopping leads them down a thorny path fraught with diplomatic headaches and the ever-present risk of a messy international incident.
Jay Hayden guest stars as Agent Tyler Booth, a former colleague of Forrester’s from back in the States. Booth’s arrival signifies the gravity of the situation: a Most Wanted fugitive has slipped through the cracks and found refuge in Russia. Extradition is a non-starter, leaving the Fly Team with the unenviable task of devising an off-the-books plan to extract their target.
Their scheme hinges on the fugitive’s ex-wife, a woman with understandably mixed feelings about aiding the FBI. Her cooperation is essential for luring the target into a trap, but her wavering loyalties threaten to derail the operation. Add to that the Fly Team’s perennial challenge – operating without the comfort of their firearms on foreign soil – and you’ve got a recipe for high-stakes tension.
