Channel 4’s “The Fear Clinic: Face Your Phobia” returns with a look at how inherited anxieties can impact families. This week, three individuals confront their deep-seated fears, hoping to break the cycle and prevent their children from inheriting the same phobias.
In Amsterdam, a Dutch scientist and her team of psychologists work with patients whose lives are severely limited by their phobias. The clinic uses fixed-rig cameras to document the treatment process, giving us an intimate look at the challenges and breakthroughs.
Ex-prison officer Paula battles arachnophobia, a fear of spiders passed down from her mother. Chloe’s emetophobia, a fear of vomiting, prevents her from caring for her young daughters, a source of immense sadness. And Milly, plagued by ranidophobia (fear of frogs), seeks treatment before her children develop the same aversion.
“The Fear Clinic: Face Your Phobia” airs Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 8:00 PM on Channel 4.
