Matt Paxton, the extreme cleaning expert, isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty – literally. In Discovery’s “Filthy Fortunes,” he dives headfirst into some of the most hazardous hoarding situations imaginable, all in the hope of uncovering hidden treasures. This Sunday’s episode, “Dirt Bike Pay Dirt,” takes him to California, where he tackles two particularly challenging properties.
In one hoard, Paxton races against time – and possibly toxic fumes – to unearth classic motorcycles hidden beneath piles of junk. The other property presents a different kind of challenge, as he searches for rare and valuable toys that could be worth a small fortune. But before the treasure hunt can begin, Paxton has to assess the properties and figure out how much the clean-outs will cost, a crucial step when he’s risking his own money in the hopes of turning a profit.
