Matt Paxton, the extreme-cleaning expert, is back on Discovery this Sunday, trading rubber gloves for a metal detector as he goes “On a Mission for G.I. Dough.” “Filthy Fortunes” follows Paxton and his crew as they dive into some of the most cluttered and chaotic properties across America, searching for hidden treasures amongst the trash.
This week, they’re tackling a three-barn hoard in the Pacific Northwest, a potential goldmine of U.S. military memorabilia. Think vintage uniforms, forgotten relics, and maybe even a Willy’s Jeep or two. But it’s not all dog tags and dusty helmets. A second location presents a different kind of challenge, this one with a biohazard warning. Hidden within the clutter are first-generation computers and video equipment, potentially valuable but also potentially dangerous.
As always, Paxton puts his own money on the line, assessing each property, estimating cleanup costs, and hoping the treasures inside outweigh the expenses. It’s a gamble, but for Paxton, the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of helping people cash in on their forgotten fortunes are worth the risk. Tune in to Discovery this Sunday at 10:02 PM ET to see what treasures Paxton unearths.
