Edgewater, the fictional Northern California town at the heart of CBS’s “Fire Country,” is about to face its biggest test yet. The two-hour season finale, kicking off with “A Change in the Wind” this Friday, throws not one but two major fires at the town and its firefighting crew, pushing them to their limits and beyond.
When a gas station goes up in flames, Bode and Manny are first on the scene, facing a volatile situation that could explode at any moment. But as they battle the blaze, a bigger threat emerges: a rapidly spreading wildfire that puts all of Edgewater in peril. Suddenly, the stakes are higher than ever, and the personal connections within the fire crew add another layer of tension to the unfolding disaster.
Series star and creator Max Thieriot steps behind the camera to direct the first hour of this two-part finale, adding his personal touch to what looks like a dramatic climax to the season. Written by Jen Klein, “A Change in the Wind” is set to deliver a mix of high-octane action and emotional gut punches as the residents of Edgewater face their worst nightmare. Part 2 follows on directly.
“Fire Country” airs this Friday, April 25th at 9:00 PM ET on CBS. The episode will also be available for live streaming and on-demand viewing for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, while Paramount+ Essential subscribers can stream it on-demand starting Saturday, April 26th.
