Channel 4’s First Dates returns and this episode features a range of singles hoping to find a connection, with conversations ranging from Whitney Houston to swimming with sharks – and even a few ghostly encounters.
Social activist Shamsa meets Hamish, a towering software salesman, and the two bond over their shared love of Whitney Houston’s music. Meanwhile, 27-year-old school caretaker Dominic, who harbours a phobia of butterflies, is paired with Rebecca, a 30-year-old free spirit who counts swimming with sharks among her hobbies.
And then there’s Brocarde, a rock singer who hopes to find someone who accepts her unusual romantic history – which involves relationships with ghosts.
