In the latest episode of First Dates, which airs on Channel 4 on Monday evening, we meet graphic designer Charlie, 26, whose unwavering optimism is perceived as relentless by some. She is matched with 25-year-old Australian osteopath Benj, an emotionally expressive individual who isn’t afraid to shed a tear or two. Their conversation takes an intimate turn as Charlie shares with Benj her experience of undergoing a preventative mastectomy.
The episode also introduces us to 29-year-old bus driver Tommy and 28-year-old electrician Luke, both of whom share a mutual disdain for dating apps and hook-up culture. However, their date takes an unexpected turn when Luke discovers something about Tommy that leaves their romantic connection hanging in the balance.
