The BBC has released first-look images from The Guest, a four-part psychological thriller set to air this autumn on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Cymru Wales.
Created and written by Matthew Barry, the series follows Ria, a cleaner played by Gabrielle Creevy, whose life shifts when she begins working for businesswoman Fran, played by Eve Myles. Fran pushes Ria to take control of her life, but what begins as empowerment quickly leads to a more dangerous connection.

The story unfolds as a tense character piece. Ria and Fran come from different worlds, a contrast shown clearly in the released imagery, but a single incident ties their fates together. Secrets emerge. The boundaries between them blur. What begins as mentorship becomes something much darker.
Barry, who won a BAFTA Cymru for Men Up, also serves as executive producer. Ashley Way, known for Men Up and Who is Erin Carter?, directs all four episodes and holds an executive producing role alongside Nicola Shindler, Davina Earl, Rebecca Ferguson, and Nick Andrews. Karen Lewis, whose credits include Happy Valley, produces.

The Guest is produced by Quay Street Productions in association with BBC Cymru Wales. Distribution will be handled globally by ITV Studios. The project is backed by the Welsh Government via Creative Wales and filmed entirely on location in Wales.
No broadcast date has been confirmed, but the limited series is set for release later in 2025.
