On Wednesday’s “Fix My Frankenhouse,” Mike and Denese take on a project that proves the adage “buyer beware.” This week, they’re helping a couple who made the bold – or perhaps foolhardy – decision to purchase a house sight unseen. While the property had an initial charm, a major electrical problem quickly turns their dream home into a potential nightmare.
As Mike uses his construction expertise to address the issues, Denese works to incorporate a modern design while still maintaining the house’s original character. The “Kitchen Under the Stairs” title hints at some unusual design choices made by previous owners, which will certainly add another wrinkle to Mike and Denese’s renovation plans.
