DIY projects can be a fun way to personalize a home. But sometimes, those projects go horribly, horribly wrong. That’s where Mike and Denese Butler come in. This week on HGTV’s “Fix My Frankenhouse,” the couple takes on a home where the homeowner’s attempts at DIY have reached, let’s just say, a “franken-level.” The episode, titled “Night of the Living DIY,” seems to have the Butlers facing some serious home improvement nightmares.
The main culprit? Closets. Apparently, lots and lots of closets. They seem to have taken over the entire house, turning it into a labyrinth of cramped spaces and awkward layouts. Mike, with his construction background, and Denese, with her eye for design and custom finishes, have their work cut out for them. The question is can they blend the original charm of the older home with modern design elements, to create a proper home out of this closet-infested mess.
Tune in to HGTV on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:00 PM ET to see if they succeed.
