A blaze rips through the peaceful town of Eden, setting off a series of shocking events in the eagerly awaited second season of “Recipes for Love and Murder.” Acorn TV has announced the return of the South African culinary mystery, starring Maria Doyle Kennedy, with a premiere date and a suspenseful new trailer.
The eight-episode season kicks off on Monday, March 3, with a two-episode premiere on Acorn TV. New episodes will follow each week.
As the smoke clears, Tannie Maria (Doyle Kennedy), Jessie (Kylie Fisher), and Khaya (Tony Kgoroge) find themselves entangled in a difficult investigation involving multiple murders. The inquiry exposes secrets hidden deep within the seemingly tranquil community.
The cast expands in Season 2, with Wynand Ferreira joining as Jaco, Regardt’s troubled younger brother. Gerard Rudolph plays Ricus, a former psychologist now working as a mechanic, and Hlubi Mboya portrays Jackie Baloyi, the town’s new undertaker.
The series is a collaboration between AMC Networks’ Acorn TV, Multichoice, and Both Worlds Pictures, with Jozua Malherbe and Karen Jeynes directing. Global Screen is handling international distribution, excluding North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa, where Acorn TV and Multichoice hold the rights.
Viewers in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand can watch the Season 2 premiere and following episodes of “Recipes for Love and Murder” on Acorn TV.
