The fourth season of HGTV’s “Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa” kicks off with a lesson in humility – or perhaps a reminder that even the most seasoned pros were once rookies. In “A First Time for Everything,” Tarek takes a novice flipper under his wing, guiding them through the treacherous terrain of their very first house flip.
This rookie is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, eager to learn the tricks of the trade. But enthusiasm only gets you so far in the world of real estate. Problems arise almost immediately, throwing a wrench in the works before demolition even begins. It turns out that budgets, like fine wine, are often best appreciated with experience. Our rookie’s initial estimate is…let’s just say, optimistic, leaving Tarek to step in and do some damage control.
Can Tarek steer this rookie back on course and avoid a total flip-flop? Will they manage to salvage the project and make a profit, or will this first-time flipper learn a costly lesson about the realities of the business? Find out when “Flipping 101” premieres Thursday, April 3 at 9:00 PM on HGTV.
