Forensics: Murder Scene – Episode 3 (Channel 5, 26 August 2024)

In the third episode of Forensics: Murder Scene, a disturbing discovery is made at a recycling plant in Yorkshire, as an intact human foot is found among the waste. The gruesome find prompts a swift response, with detectives and forensic teams descending on the scene and bringing operations at the plant to a halt.

With a vast amount of waste to sift through and limited information, the investigation faces a challenging task. Experts, including a Forensic Anthropologist, are called upon to answer three critical questions: to whom does the foot belong, is this a case of murder, and could there be more than one victim?

The scene presents an enormous challenge, with thousands of tonnes of waste to search through. The team has no idea if they are looking for one person or if a serial killer is at large. As the investigation unfolds, a complex DNA mystery emerges, leading the forensic team on a global quest for answers.
