The Scottish Highlands, known for their breathtaking scenery and, occasionally, monstrous midges, now play host to a fresh batch of “Four In A Bed” hopefuls. This time, it’s all kicking off at the Clachan Garden B&B, run by Stephen and Margaret. And while tartan and bagpipes might be traditional, banning outdoor footwear indoors? That’s where the line is drawn for some of these B&B rivals.
Right from the get-go, the shoes-off policy stirs up more dust than a Highland fling in a sandpit. Some guests embrace the homey vibe, while others seem to view the rule as a personal affront worthy of a strongly worded TripAdvisor review. One can only imagine the passive-aggressive slipper shuffling and pointed stares exchanged over the welcome scones.
Stephen and Margaret, seemingly oblivious to the brewing footwear fracas, decide a spot of pottery is just the thing to ease the tension. Given the already delicate state of affairs, it’s anyone’s guess whether the clay will bring guests together or provide another opportunity for thinly veiled insults and competitive pot-throwing. Is it too soon to start placing bets on who will try to add a surcharge for “accidental” breakage of their rival’s wonky creation?
Tune in to Channel 4 this Monday at 5:00 PM to witness the pottery pandemonium and shoe-related squabbles unfold. Will Highland hospitality prevail, or will the Clachan Garden B&B descend into a chaotic free-for-all?
Four In A Bed airs weeknights at 5:00 PM on Channel 4.
