Tina Fey returns to the world of television, co-creating the Netflix series “The Four Seasons,” dropping this Thursday. The series, based on the 1981 Alan Alda film of the same name, explores the complicated ties of marriage and friendship with a cast led by Fey herself, alongside Will Forte, Steve Carell, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Colman Domingo, and Marco Calvani.
“The Four Seasons” centers on a group of six longtime friends whose annual weekend getaway takes an unexpected turn when one couple announces their impending divorce. What was meant to be a relaxing escape turns into a turning point for all involved, with relationship dynamics changing over the course of a year presented over four vacations.
Co-created by Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield, the eight-episode series aims to take a comedic and heartfelt look at long-term relationships and the changing landscape of marriage and friendship as we age. All eight episodes of “The Four Seasons” will be available for streaming on Netflix starting Thursday, May 1st.
