FOX Nation Partners with “God. Family. Football.” for New Seasons and Expanded Religious Content

FOX Nation has announced a new partnership to become the exclusive home for all future seasons of God. Family. Football, a series that was initially available on Amazon. Starting October 11, 2024, new episodes will air every Friday night throughout the fall.

The show will continue to follow Shreveport’s Evangel Christian Academy football team, led by Pastor Denny Duron, with a second season set for 2025. Duron, known for his dedication to faith and coaching, instills values of faith, family, and football in his players as they deal with the challenges of high school life on and off the field.

The series will launch as part of FOX Nation’s new “FOX Faith” vertical, which will feature religious programming throughout the holiday season. A highlight of this vertical is Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, a multipart docudrama premiering on November 17, 2024. Other major releases include Jesus Crown of Thorns, a new docudrama in collaboration with Nutopia. This vertical aims to present spiritual and religious narratives through a blend of scripted and documentary-style storytelling.

God. Family. Football highlights real-life obstacles faced by Evangel Eagles players, from family struggles to the pressures of their athletic pursuits. The series follows the team as they aim for their 15th state championship title, focusing on the highs and lows of their journey through high school football, romance, and personal challenges.

Produced by Watershed Motion Pictures, the series was created by Aaron Benward, with executive producers Benward, Jared Goetz, Matt Woolsey, Cody Bess, Scott Brignac, and Cliff Young.
