Following a hugely popular Christmas special that attracted over 8.6 million viewers, the classic game show Bullseye is returning for a full series on ITV, hosted by Freddie Flintoff.

Here’s the Lowdown: The one-off Bullseye special, which aired last Christmas, was a massive hit. Now, ITV has ordered four 60-minute episodes, plus another Christmas special for 2025. The show, produced by ITV Studios, will retain the original format: teams consist of a dart-throwing “thrower” and a quiz-answering “knower,” combining their talents to win prizes. Over 30,000 applied to be on the 2024 Christmas Special.

The Bigger Picture: The revival of Bullseye indicates the enduring appeal of classic game show formats. ITV Studios will distribute the programme internationally. The return of Bullseye is more good news for fans of classic British game shows.
