Fred Sirieix is set to lead a new four-part series for Channel 4 in which he will attempt to turn around the UK’s most troubled hospitality businesses. In Fred’s Hotel Fixers (w/t), the esteemed maître d’ will bring his exacting standards to a variety of failing establishments, from cafes and guesthouses to once-popular venues struggling to survive.
Sirieix will not be working alone; he will be joined by a team of hospitality experts, including a business strategist, a food and beverage specialist, an interior designer, and a chef. Each episode will follow the team as they work with owners to transform their businesses, a process that will involve difficult conversations and decisions.
“Times are super tough in the hospitality business,” Sirieix said in a statement. “With my crack team of experts, we will help inject new life and more importantly revenue into your business.”
The series was commissioned by Channel 4’s Senior Commissioning Editor, Clemency Green, with support from Northern Ireland Screen. It is being produced by the Belfast-based independent production company Waddell Media.
