Fugitives: Caught on Tape returns with a double dose of vehicular mayhem and questionable decision-making. First up, a truck thief treats us to a live-streamed high-speed chase, because nothing says “responsible citizen” like documenting your own felony in real-time.
Elsewhere, a double murder suspect decides to shoot at police officers, which rarely ends well for anyone involved. And then there’s the sleepy driver caught napping at a traffic light, whose subsequent flight from the police results in a mangled sports car.
The second half of the evening features a daring car theft from right under the noses of New Mexico deputies. Were the officers distracted by donuts? Hypnotized by the desert landscape? Or simply outmaneuvered by a particularly crafty criminal?
Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, a serial evader engages in a foot chase with police. Is this a seasoned track star or just someone with a strong aversion to incarceration?
Finally, the LAPD takes on a slow-speed highway pursuit of a suspect on a bicycle. I imagine the officers are torn between maintaining a safe distance and simply getting out of their cars and walking alongside the suspect.
