Fugitives: Caught on Tape “Bridge Jump and Shootout”

Fugitives Caught on Tape Key Art

A&E’s Fugitives: Caught on Tape returns with a double dose of adrenaline this Wednesday, offering viewers a front-row seat to some of the most intense police pursuits ever recorded. From daring bridge jumps to heart-stopping shootouts, these two episodes offer a raw look at the challenges law enforcement faces when apprehending suspects.

In the first episode, “Bridge Jump and Shootout,” an accused car thief takes a desperate plunge from a 36-foot bridge, a DUI suspect attempts a tri-elemental escape (car, foot, and water), and an armed fugitive makes a very poor choice by breaking into a building full of law students. Let’s just say it probably didn’t go as planned.

The second episode, “PIT Maneuvers and Mayhem,” dials up the drama even further. A wanted felon crashes into a state trooper’s car (oops), police engage in a shootout with a murder suspect (yikes), and a deputy attempts a PIT maneuver that flips a fugitive’s car onto two wheels. (Now that’s entertainment).

Fugitives: Caught on Tape distinguishes itself by utilizing a variety of camera perspectives to document these events. Bodycams, dashcams, security cameras, and even doorbell footage all contribute to creating a comprehensive view of the chases, giving viewers a sense of being right there in the thick of it. This week’s double bill is expected to be a high-octane ride, so fasten your seatbelt.
