Sky Kids is launching a collection of original shows and returning favourites. The lineup combines humor, engaging stories, and moments of tranquility.
Among the new offerings is Funny Talking Animals, combining real wildlife footage, animation, and children’s voices. Narrated by comedian Iain Stirling, the series features animals discussing everyday topics. Stirling expressed his delight at combining his experience in children’s television and voiceover work.
Happy Town, marking Mel B’s children’s television debut, follows the adventures of Pep and Tabitha, a hedgehog and ladybird duo, in a community where brightness depends on the residents’ happiness. Mel B narrates their efforts to help others and keep the town shining.
BooSnoo!, a show created to offer relaxation and encourage creativity returns for a third season. Aimed at young and neurodiverse children, its returning. The Very Small Creatures, from Aardman studio, also returns for a third season, exploring themes like bedtime and celebrations through its five charming characters.
Lucy Murphy, Director of Kids Content at Sky, stated that the network invests in UK creativity. She named Mel B. and Iain Stirling as joyful additions. She also welcomed working with BBC Studios on Funny Talking Animals, which will be the first co-production.
