Production is underway in Belfast, Ireland, for the highly anticipated HBO Original drama series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” set a century before the events of “Game of Thrones.” The series is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s novella, “The Hedge Knight.”

With a star-studded cast, the series introduces Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Barotheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen. They join previously announced cast members Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell.

The narrative follows two unlikely heroes, Ser Duncan the Tall, a young and courageous knight, and his squire, Egg, as they wander through Westeros. The age of their adventures is a time when the Targaryen dynasty still reigns on the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon is fresh in people’s minds. Great destinies, formidable foes, and dangerous exploits await these improbable friends.
