On Thursday afternoon, BBC One presents the latest episode of Garden Rescue, featuring a challenging garden transformation for a family in Lutterworth.
Lesley, a resident of Lutterworth, dreams of creating a garden where she can spend quality time with her large family, which includes four grandchildren. However, she finds herself perplexed by the unusual shape of her compact garden, which features a strange pointed corner and a giant shed that dominates the space.
Enter Lee and Chris, who eagerly take on the task of redesigning Lesley’s garden. Inspired by her love for Greek holidays, they propose designs that evoke the Mediterranean atmosphere she adores. But the team soon encounters difficulties due to the garden’s odd angles. They skillfully address the pointed corner by constructing a wide bed in front of it, strategically masked by carefully chosen plants.
The shed, which initially felt overwhelming, is transformed into a Greek taverna, adding a unique touch to the space. To incorporate Lesley’s desire for contemporary elements, a freestanding water feature and a stylish pergola are introduced, blending modern aesthetics with the Mediterranean theme.
The final touch is the addition of a honey locust and an olive tree, bringing a sense of maturity and completing the garden’s transformation into a Mediterranean marvel.
Garden Rescue: Lutterworth airs on BBC One on Thursday, 3 October 2024, at 4:30 pm.
