Well, Port Charles wasn’t exactly a beacon of tranquility on Thursday, was it? Sam’s will reading turned into a full-blown custody battle royale, with Jason and Drew squaring off over the guardianship of Scout and Danny. Drew, unexpectedly named as legal guardian for both children, found himself on the receiving end of Jason’s fury. Jason, naturally, isn’t going down without a fight, vowing to uphold Danny’s supposed right to choose. Because, you know, a kid’s always the best judge of character when it comes to feuding fathers. Alexis tried to mediate with the brilliant suggestion that both kids move in with her. Drew, displaying a rare flash of common sense, politely declined.
Meanwhile, Michael’s world imploded with the revelation of Willow’s night with Drew. It’s a classic soap opera irony, isn’t it? Michael’s struggling to confront Willow about her infidelity, mainly because he’s still carrying the baggage of his own betrayal with Sasha. So, yeah, lots of finger-pointing and not a lot of self-reflection happening in Port Charles these days.
On a lighter note, or at least a more physically active one, Dex and Kai provided some much-needed comic relief, if you can call it that, with their romantic and not-so-romantic sparring. Trina, stuck in the middle of this testosterone-fueled tug-of-war, also has her academic pressures to deal with. Because pre-med and love triangles always mix so well.
Family drama also took center stage this week. Kristina is contemplating working for Sonny, which, let’s be honest, is like joining the dark side, but with better benefits. TJ completely spaced on Molly’s birthday, lost in the family chaos, and Jordan dropped a not-so-subtle hint about a potential new love interest. I’m sure that will go over smoothly with Curtis.
Oh, and just as Dante was about to vacate Sam’s penthouse, Chase swooped in with an offer of support and alternative living arrangements. Because in Port Charles, no good deed goes unpunished, and no empty apartment stays that way for long. Josslyn, ever the matchmaker, continued her campaign to nudge Trina towards Kai, even as she prepares to testify against Ava in court. And Kristina, still reeling from her near-death experience, thanked Josslyn for her heroics and discussed the importance of justice for Morgan in Ava’s impending trial.
