After a brief holiday hiatus (repeat on December 24th, preempted on the 25th), General Hospital returns to its regularly scheduled programming with a dose of drama just in time for the post-Christmas slump. This time, the fireworks center around Lucas Jones, who unleashes his pent-up frustration on Willow Corinthos at Nina Reeves’ residence. Lucas, still smarting from the implosion of Michael and Willow’s relationship, lays the blame squarely at Willow’s feet, accusing her of destroying Wiley’s family.
Drew Quartermaine, ever the knight in shining armor, swoops in to comfort Willow after the confrontation, a gesture that doesn’t go unnoticed by a simmering Nina. Meanwhile, Jack Brennan receives a cryptic phone call, prompting him to dispatch someone on a mysterious mission. While the details remain murky, it’s likely connected to the ongoing search for Charlotte Cassadine, whose secret hideaway may be compromised after a careless phone call with Lulu.
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Harrison Chase continue their baby-making machinations, while Michael confides in Jason Morgan about his marital woes. Jason, ever the skeptic, remains suspicious of Jack Brennan, despite Carly Spencer’s insistence that the guy is totally harmless. Dante Falconeri also receives some unsettling news, possibly related to Lulu’s solo quest to find Charlotte. And because no soap opera is complete without a mob boss dispensing fatherly advice, Sonny Corinthos chats with Laura Collins and reassures Kristina Corinthos-Davis about her new gig at Charlie’s. All in all, it seems the residents of Port Charles are in for a turbulent start to the new year.
