General Hospital Spoilers, Thursday, January 9

General Hospital Key Art

Port Charles, that eternally overcast town of questionable medical practices and even more questionable romantic choices, finds itself in another predictable crisis on Thursday’s General Hospital. Michael Corinthos’s accident has sent shockwaves through the community, but the real drama, as always, lies in the fallout.

Naturally, loved ones are flocking to the hospital, creating a scene that’s less about concern and more about who can deliver the most theatrical gasp. Kristina Corinthos-Davis is understandably distraught, leaving Alexis Davis to do what she does best: offer legal advice disguised as maternal comfort.

Meanwhile, Nina Reeves and Martin Grey, those two paragons of virtue, are no doubt already calculating how Michael’s misfortune might benefit their case against Willow. After all, in Port Charles, a critical condition is less a tragedy and more a strategic opportunity.

But the real fireworks are provided by Josslyn Jacks, who apparently hasn’t taken a chill pill since, well, ever. Her outburst at Willow at the hospital suggests their feud is far from over, because in this town, grudges are held tighter than Sonny Corinthos holds onto his “legitimate business” ventures.

As for Drew Quartermaine, his unwelcome presence at the hospital is about as surprising as Carly Spencer’s icy reception. Apparently, interrupting Carly while she’s processing bad news isn’t the best way to win her affections. Who knew?
