The annual Nurses Ball on “General Hospital” is always a spectacle, a swirling vortex of high drama, questionable musical numbers, and enough sequins to blind a disco ball. This year’s event, kicking off Tuesday, May 20, looks set to maintain that, er, proud tradition. From surprise llama appearances to clandestine meetings and simmering romantic tension, the red carpet promises to be anything but dull.
Cody, after scrambling for a last-minute plus-one, ends up escorting Molly to the ball. While they might claim it’s strictly platonic, something tells me certain Port Charles residents might see it differently. Meanwhile, Alexis is in for an unpleasant surprise. Given Ric’s recent arrival and that whole blackmail mess involving Ava, one might surmise a connection.
Anna thinks she’s solved a pressing problem, enlisting Felicia for what sounds like a top-secret mission. And speaking of secrets, Chase is about to receive a rather shocking phone call just as he arrives at the ball. Could this be related to Drew’s recovered memory of being drugged?
Oh, and did I mention the llama? Because Lucy Coe will be walking a llama on the red carpet. Make of that what you will. As Lulu sashays into the Quartermaine mansion, turning heads and maybe raising a few eyebrows, Dante and Chase are equally stunned.
