Production is officially underway on Season 2 of The Gentlemen, with Netflix confirming an expanded ensemble, fresh locations, and a story that pushes the franchise beyond its countryside roots.
Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings are all back in the game, reprising their roles from the first season, which bowed earlier this year. But this time, the action stretches beyond English manor walls and into the Italian lakes, as Eddie and Susie try to keep a grip on their growing empire in the wake of Bobby’s explosive exit moves.
Joining the returning cast—Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley, and Giancarlo Esposito—is a new lineup that leans both high-profile and unpredictable: Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellito, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr, and Maya Jama.
The series remains in the hands of Guy Ritchie, who’s back directing and co-writing alongside Matthew Read. Eran Creevy is also in the director’s chair for multiple episodes. Moonage Pictures and Miramax Television are behind the production for Netflix, with filming currently underway in the UK.
The new season picks up as Eddie and Susie deal with the fallout from Bobby’s decisions, steering their criminal network into riskier, more volatile territory. According to Ritchie, the stakes are higher and the balance of power more precarious—though don’t expect him to say much more than that. The creative team’s keeping the exact story beats under wraps for now.
