The Young Sheldon spin-off continues with it’s second episode, chronicling the surprisingly complicated lives of Georgie and Mandy. This week, Georgie (Montana Jordan) juggles the demands of work, family, and the general malaise of early adulthood.
One imagines this involves a lot of complaining and questionable fashion choices. Mandy (Emily Osment), meanwhile, expresses concern for Georgie’s well-being, a concern likely warranted given his history of impulsive decisions.
And because no sitcom family is complete without a mischievous sibling, Missy (Raegan Revord) finds herself in hot water at school.
It’s still very early days for this series, so the jury’s out on whether it can escape the shadow of its predecessor. Can Georgie & Mandy carve its own comedic niche, or is it destined to remain a mere footnote in the Big Bang Theory extended universe?
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage: Some New York Nonsense airs Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 8:00 pm on CBS.
