Family secrets and entrepreneurial misadventures collide in this week’s episode of “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.” “A Sportsbook and a Breakup” centers on a familiar face from “Young Sheldon” – Meemaw – and her not-so-legal side hustle. Turns out, the sweet old lady is running an illegal sportsbook, and Mandy, ever the opportunist, wants in.
Georgie, on the other hand, finds himself in the unenviable position of keeping Mandy’s new “career” under wraps. Given Meemaw’s track record, this is unlikely to end well. The return of Annie Potts and Craig T. Nelson as Meemaw and Dale will please the fans.
With a writing team that includes Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” carries the same quirky DNA as its predecessor. “A Sportsbook and a Breakup” airs this Thursday, March 13th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
