Newlywed life is never easy, especially when you’re young, broke, and living in close proximity to your in-laws. In this week’s episode of “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” airing Thursday at 8:00 PM ET on CBS, money troubles and unexpected guests throw a wrench into the works.
“TV Money” sees Mandy’s spending habits cause friction with Georgie and his father, Jim, as the newlyweds attempt to strike a balance between freedom and fiscal responsibility. Mandy tries her best to prove she can handle the household finances, but her efforts might backfire. Meanwhile, another form of domestic chaos brews when Connor’s new girlfriend finds herself without a place to stay, turning to Georgie and Mandy for help.
“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” a spin-off of “Young Sheldon,” takes a comedic look at the ups and downs of early adulthood, parenting, and the trials and tribulations of making a marriage work. The episode was directed by Nikki Lorre, from a story by Steven Molaro and Danny Rivera and a teleplay by Steve Holland and Connor Kilpatrick.
